     The development of human body bulletproof equipment has also been written in previous articles, which is closely related to the development of war and new materials. We cannot predict and intervene in the former, but in the field of new materials, with the rapid development of China's economy, more and more scientific researchers have invested in the development of new materials, and have also received strong support from the government, which is expected to make more progress. So, the following content is mainly my personal point of view, to talk about the possibilities of human body bulletproof equipment under the development of new materials.
      First of all, we define the next step in the development of bulletproof equipment led by new materials. We all know that from the original bulletproof steel plate and iron plate to the popular PE and Kevlar bulletproof equipment, the body bulletproof equipment has been brought from hard to soft. However, due to the characteristics of PE and Kevlar materials, it is not easy to achieve true "soft", that is, it is difficult to obtain the effect of low hardness and high strength at the same time. At present, what we can see is that the kevlar and PE are soft on the MSV soft bulletproof vests in the United States, which are flexible and easy to carry. As a major producer of bullet-proof vests, our materials can not achieve this level for the time being. However, even the MSV series bulletproof vests in the United States still have the problems of high hardness, high weight (when the protection level is high), and insufficient full-body protection area.
     Therefore, in order to solve the above three problems, it is necessary to research and develop new materials or carry out modified composite treatment on the original materials.
A material for shearing thickener was proposed around the 20th century, and gradually matured into a full bullet-proof vest, which realized soft and full body protection, but it was very heavy, which could only be used in the laboratory or as a gimmick, and could not be applied in practice. In recent years, many scholars have continued to study on this road. If this kind of material can be combined with high-strength fiber, it may have a good effect, but it is still in the laboratory stage and needs to be further developed.
     In addition, in the design of new protective equipment, with the rapid development of nanomaterials, especially the development of carbon nanomaterials, graphene, carbon nanotubes and other olefinic materials have shown various excellent properties such as high strength, high mode, and temperature resistance. With the material being able to conduct electricity, there is more room for imaginable applications. At present, it can also be seen that scholars at home and abroad are studying olefinic materials as bulletproof materials, and Nano Company of the United States is directly cooperating with the Pentagon to develop carbon tubes, which also shows great potential. However, China's industrialized manufacturing of olefins and their application in protective equipment have not yet been seen, and further exploration and research are needed.
     Finally, at present, more researchers focus on the modification of high-strength fabrics or high-strength fibers in order to obtain higher strength and lighter materials. This idea is correct and also a direction of multi-dimensional development. On the basis of current high-strength materials such as PE, kevlar, PBO, PI, and other materials with other characteristics, combined with specific resin and processing technology, it may be able to achieve the target products quickly. After all, the core materials are known and familiar.
     The future body protection equipment must be full-body protection, lightweight and flexible, and will also be multi-functional and intelligent. It needs the joint efforts of all colleagues, experts and scholars to run forward.
